DR. LAY NIM
Dr. Nim is an accomplished optometrist who completed her educational studies at Georgia State University and has attended optometry school at Southern College of Optometry, located in Memphis, TN. She participated in several international volunteer trips during her years in optometry school. Helping to provide eye care to underserved areas in Haiti, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.
Dr. Nim discovered that she had a passion for specialty contact lenses during her clinical rotations. During this time, she witnessed firsthand how impactful these specialty lenses were in improving a patient’s comfort and quality of life. For most patients, specialty lenses could be life-changing, as they allow the patient to see sharply for the first time. For Dr. Nim, the excitement on her patients’ faces as their vision is at once restored, is one of the most fulfilling parts of her job.
While restoring vision with scleral lenses is a passion of Dr. Nim, she is also a big advocate of Orthokeratology, aka Ortho-k contact lenses. And since ortho-k lenses are designed to slow myopia progression. Dr. Nim is proud to say that this is a service that is offered to her patients. Thus being said, Dr. Nim has proven herself to be an exemplary member of the American Academy Of Orthokeratology & Myopia Control providing care, and going above and beyond.
