Meet Dr. Nim
Dr. Nim completed her undergraduate studies at Georgia State University before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. During optometry school, she participated in several international mission trips, providing eye care to underserved communities in Haiti, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. These experiences reinforced her passion for helping patients regain their vision and improve their quality of life.
It was during her clinical rotations that Dr. Nim discovered her passion for specialty contact lenses. She had the opportunity to train alongside experienced specialty lens practitioners and quickly saw the profound difference that scleral lenses could make for patients with complex corneal conditions. Witnessing someone achieve clear, comfortable vision after years of struggling remains one of the most rewarding parts of her career.
Today, Dr. Nim has dedicated her practice to specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, custom soft lenses, and orthokeratology (Ortho-K). She enjoys caring for patients with keratoconus, corneal irregularities, severe dry eye, and other challenging conditions that often require a customized approach. By combining advanced diagnostic technology with today's newest specialty lens designs—including freeform lens technology—she strives to provide each patient with the best possible vision, comfort, and long-term eye health.
Dr. Nim is also passionate about myopia management. She believes that slowing the progression of nearsightedness during childhood can have lifelong benefits, and she enjoys partnering with families to help protect their children's vision through treatments such as orthokeratology.
Outside the office, Dr. Nim enjoys rock climbing, crocheting, cooking, and traveling. One of her favorite adventures was fulfilling a longtime dream of climbing in the Italian Dolomites. She believes that exploring new places, embracing new challenges, and continually learning help her bring curiosity and creativity into both her personal life and her patient care.
